- Link Affiliates, The University of Southern Queensland
Link Affiliates is the focus for national DEST supported standards activities. Link Affiliates works with Australian communities, infrastructure projects, and with national and international standards organizations to solve real interoperability problems.
The eScholarship Research Centre is working closely with Link Affiliates on the development and implementation of standards for research and scholarly practise.

- Royal Australian Chemical Institute, History and Archives Committee
Gavan McCarthy was invited to join the History and Archives Committee on its inception in September 1986 and has been a member ever since. The Committee oversees the archival programme of the institute. John Spink who joined at the same time, and has become a long term colleague and has been actively collaborating in the archival programme.

- Encoded Archival Context (EAC) Working Group Australia and New Zealand Chapter
The Australia and New Zealand chapter of the EAC Working Group convened for the first time in Melbourne, 10 October 2007. Staff of the eScholarship Research Centre and the National Library of Australia are key members of this working group.
